The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Atlas project, like the other ATLAS projects, is a systematic attempt to collect information from countries on existing services and resources. The themes covered include: Rights of the child and adolescent, policy and programs, information systems, need for services, service system gaps, integration of services, barriers to care, care providers, training for care, financing of care and availability and use of medication. World Health Organization is a Specialized Agency of the United Nations, charged to act as the world's directing and coordinating authority on questions of human health. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries, and monitoring and assessing health trends.
